Hello friend,

The day started with Waylon being his full β€œ100 miles per hour” self, bouncing, talking, moving, and just being absolutely hilarious from the moment he woke up. This picture captures him perfectly: all energy, all personality, all heart.

After all that morning energy, I spent the rest of the morning with Mom celebrating her birthday, just the two of us enjoying a little shopping and then stopping at Wendy’s for a quick bite. Just that easy, familiar time together that always feels good.

Then we headed back to her house for her birthday dessert… and of course we had to keep things fun. We put 35 on the dessert because age is just a number, and apparently hers is optional :) .

And of course, I had to grab a picture with her, because these moments matter, and I want to hold onto them.

Later in the afternoon, after getting home, I took Waylon to the movies, and oh my goodness, the Mario adventure was everything. He was all smiles in the lobby, giving a thumbs-up like he owned the place.

The theater had the cutest Mario decorations, balloons, displays, and a whole setup that made the place feel like a little celebration of its own.

Then came the glowing hallway leading to the Dolby Atmos theater. He practically ran ahead, too excited to wait, and honestly, that’s one of my favorite things about him.

And of course… the 3D glasses moment. A classic. A keeper. A β€œthis is who he was at this age” kind of picture.

It was a full day, celebrating Mom, chasing Waylon’s energy, and ending the night with a movie that made him light up. Nothing planned. Just family, fun, and a whole lot of moments that felt good to be in.
