The A Virus by Alex Williams

I just finished reading the entire A Virus series, and it turned out to be one of those stories that pulls you in deeper with every book. What starts as a mysterious outbreak quickly becomes a layered, emotional journey filled with survival, secrets, and the kind of tension that keeps you turning pages long after you meant to stop.

Iโ€™ve always loved apocalyptic books and movies, so this series was something I naturally gravitated toward. Even though this was my first time reading anything by Alex Williams, Iโ€™ll definitely be looking for more of his work. He did such a great job capturing authentic teenage behavior, especially since the main characters in the beginning are teens navigating impossible situations. It felt believable, emotional, and exactly how young people might actually react when the world starts to unravel.

One of the things I appreciated most was how each book builds naturally on the one before it. The world expands, the stakes rise, and the characters grow in ways that feel earned and believable. Every installment adds new depth to the story, making the series feel more and more immersive as it goes on.

By the time I reached the final book, I was fully invested. The twists hit harder, the emotional moments land deeper, and the ending feels like the payoff of a journey thatโ€™s been building from page one. Itโ€™s the kind of series that leaves you sitting with your thoughts for a moment after you finish.

Honestly, I would love to see this turned into a TV series. The pacing, the tension, the character arcs, it all feels perfect for a screen adaptation. Thereโ€™s so much potential for a gripping, atmospheric show.
