Smoked Sausage & Shrimp Veggie Skillet

This skillet is packed with smoky sausage, tender shrimp, and sautéed veggies, the kind of meal that tastes bold and comforting without taking much time at all.

Ingredients

Smoked sausage, sliced
Shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small zucchini, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
2–3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
½–1 cup chicken broth
Salt & pepper, to taste
Optional: Cajun seasoning, paprika, Italian seasoning
Optional: fresh parsley or chives for topping

Instructions

1. Brown the sausage: add sliced smoked sausage to a hot skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
2. Add the shrimp: toss in the shrimp and cook until pink, then remove the sausage & shrimp and set aside.
3. Sauté the veggies: add peppers, onions, zucchini, and garlic to the skillet; cook until softened.
4. Add broth: pour in chicken broth and let it simmer 2–3 minutes to create a light sauce.
5. Combine: return sausage & shrimp to the skillet and toss everything together.
6. Finish: season to taste and top with parsley or chives.
