Marley’s Homemade Turkey & Veggie Bowl

This is Marley’s go‑to meal — simple ingredients, easy prep, and packed with lean protein and veggies. It makes a big batch, stores well, and keeps her happy and full.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 1 bag frozen green beans
- 1 bag frozen carrots
- 1 bag frozen spinach
- 1 cup rice (brown or white — both work)
- Water, as needed


Instructions
1. Cook the ground turkey
- Add the ground turkey to a large skillet or pot.
- Brown it fully, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Drain off any excess liquid or fat.
2. Add the spinach
- Return the turkey to the pot.
- Add the frozen spinach on top.
- Pour in a splash of water — just enough to help the spinach steam.
- Cook until the spinach is completely wilted and mixed into the turkey.
3. Add the vegetables
- Add the frozen green beans and frozen carrots straight into the pot.
- Stir everything together.
- Let it cook on medium heat until the veggies are heated through and tender.
4. Cook the rice separately
- Prepare 1 cup of rice according to package directions.
- Once cooked, fluff it with a fork.
5. Combine everything
- Add the cooked rice into the turkey and veggie mixture.
- Stir well so everything is evenly distributed.
- Let it cool completely before serving or storing.

Storage
- Keeps 3–4 days in the refrigerator.
- Freezes beautifully in portioned containers.
