Cafe Verde

I went to Cafe Verde in New Smyrna Beach with my brother, Chad, and my sister‑in‑law, Amanda, and this spot ended up being such a fun and flavorful stop. The whole place has a relaxed, coastal vibe, bright, welcoming, and exactly the kind of atmosphere that fits NSB perfectly. And the food was really good.

We ordered a mix of tacos so we could all try a little bit of everything: fish tacos, chicken tacos, and steak tacos. Every plate came out looking fresh and colorful, and the flavors matched the presentation. The fish tacos were light and bright, the chicken had great seasoning, and the steak was tender with a nice char.

For sides, we shared the yuca fries and the street corn. The yuca fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the street corn had that perfect mix of smoky, creamy, and a little bit messy, the best kind of messy. And because we couldn’t resist, we finished with the banana empanada for dessert. Warm, sweet, and such a fun way to end the meal.

Cafe Verde has that easygoing, beach‑town charm paired with food that feels fresh and intentional. It was a great stop during our NSB visit, and one I’d definitely go back to.
